History of Bay City Garden Club


The Bay City Garden Club was founded in 1927. In 1954, the club was invited to become a member of The Garden Club of America. Flower shows and garden walks are the best known of BCGC’s public events. Members’ skills in horticulture and the traditions of flower arranging are showcased in the judged flower shows. The garden walks and sales of planting materials and supplies are always fund-raisers. All monies realized from these markets are returned to the community in the form of landscaping and garden related donations.
